Ok, yes, I'm totally late in responding to the change of the year. Surely I'm not the only one. Nevertheless, I'm here with bells on. Top of the Season to you!

I hope everyone had an amazing holiday season. Our's was lovely with Mima visiting from out of town. The highlight of the season was the surprise birthday party we hosted for Toddler Girl. It was a cupcake baking party for eight 3 and 4 year toddler girls. Trust me it was far simpler on paper. What was I thinking??? Toddler Girl was over the moon and turnt up like I've never seen her do before. It took her more than a week to come down, staying up until 1 am every night, rising with the sun and jumping, playing and talking the entire time with no nap. When she finally started to descend it was Christmas and it all started again. She didn't have a birthday party she had a birthday season. Way to go Zj!
Some of you noticed I hadn't posted a single pic on social media, let alone a post on the blog since mid-November. I stopped kind of abruptly in the midst of having some health concerns and I do apologize. I decided I needed to take a break and try to get a handle on my health and just regroup.
Time Out
Initially I was concerned about not blogging but it felt good to relax and collect myself without looming blog deadlines. That time out was totally needed.
Thank You
Thank you for all of you that thought of me and were kind enough to check in on me during my absence. Your expressions and gestures were kind and encouraging.
I'm back and excited to get started. I have a few things I want to share so let's do this drama called life.

DeleteHi G, glad your back!
ReplyDeleteWell you've always expressed to me the importance of taking time out for myself, well now that the girls are older its becoming easier to do just that - probably by default as they have their own social life going on, but never the less its great just hanging out with me.
I've starting to take charge of my eating habits since June 2015 and working out more, which i'm excited about and dropped 8lbs Yay, I feel great!
Stay Tuned,
T
Get it girl. Very excited for you. There is nothing better than feeling good!
DeleteLove how your daughter turned her birthday into an entire season. Shouldn't we all do that?!
ReplyDeleteHey Joyce, I know right. I'm about to follow her lead. Thanks!
DeleteHope that you are feeling much better and took advantage of the time away to enjoy the holidays with your family. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tia, I did exactly that. Best wishes for this upcoming year.
DeleteI didn't get any downtime until this past week. So that gave me actual time for myself. So I am grateful for that. Happy New Year to you!
ReplyDeleteThanks! ... And the same to you and yours!
DeleteGood for you, sometimes disconnecting and unwinding is just what we need. Planner or unplanned we burn out like everyone else. Hope you're well.
ReplyDeleteSo true Mimi. All is well. Happy New Year to you.
DeleteMy highlight was randomly starting a podcast. It was totally an accident but a good one! Fear was holding me back, and so hitting that share button by accident was the push that I needed.
ReplyDeleteWe definitely have to pay attention to those "time out" signs, take care of yourself. My highlight of the season was my vacay from work. I just enjoyed the days off and being at home.
